Community Art Workshops Announced – Come and Take Part!

Local sculptors were recently chosen to produce exhibits for the Yorkshire Armed Forces Sculpture Trail, due to open in the Ferniehurst Dell next summer. The Baildon Dell will be transformed with at least a dozen sculptures along its pathway, and now you have the chance to meet and work with the artists yourself. All you have to do is register for a community art workshop at Titus Salt School:

Session Times:

Saturday 8th February 2014: 10.00 am – 1.00 pm.

Titus Salt School with Martin Bond and Edward Mortimer.

Saturday 15th February 2014: 11.00 am – 2.30 pm

Titus Salt School with Andrew Frost

Book Your Place Now by email to Heather Graham (Creative and Community Projects Manager at Titus Salt School) : ghm@titussaltschool.co.uk

The aim of this project is to recognise the sacrifice service personnel make, and the issues they face whilst serving our country, and when they return to civilian life. So, what better way than to roll up your sleeves, learn something new, and get creative.

IMG_0862Former Soldier, Cllr Ian Lyons (Chairman) said “This is a wonderful opportunity for ordinary people to make a contribution to the Armed Forces Sculpture Trail. The sculptures will be a asset in Baildon for years to come, and this is a chance to be a part of that living heritage.”
